KOFAB was founded in 1977 by President and CEO Donald E. Schiltz.  KOFAB has two facilities in Algona, Iowa – a 48,000 square ft. fabrication plant and an 18,000 square ft. machine plant.  Each plant is staffed by dedicated and skilled professionals who uphold Schiltz’s vision and company commitment to quality workmanship.

KOFAB’s state-of-the-art engineering department uses the latest design software and equipment to meet each customer’s unique needs.  Driven by industry experience and innovation, KOFAB manufactures a significant share of custom-designed food equipment and specialized in original, USDA-approved stainless steel equipment for bakery, dairy, candy, meat, poultry and pharmaceutical processors.

Best-selling products include stainless steel belt pulleys, and a powered-belt conveyor-the Curveryor®-used primarily in bakeries and meat processing plants, as well as many other unique processing and handling equipment.  The Curveyor was invented by KOFAB with their customer’s needs in mind.
